Janie Yuan 袁清珍 （1954年12月1日 – 2010年1月17日11:50pm) graduated from Zhongda in 1981(Chinese) and 1984(Law), was one of the founders of SYSUAA-NC (北加州中山大學校友會首屆理事會理事）. She will be remembered for her laughter, courage and love for life and friendship with all of us. She was the one in middle standing by the flag(photo in Aug, 2009 =>). If she could come to join us to support SYSUAA-NC (北加州中山大學校友會) so can you in 2010.

She is now with the Angels and we will all miss her.

近日我应友人之約欣賞了一张以電子数碼機拍攝經修改後的照片，該作品獲頭奖於2009 年華盛頓州全美職業攝影學會(PPA) 每年一次舉辦的專業攝影人員作品比賽年會上。獲奖作品以馬球比赛為主题：標题是：Go for the goal。 (PPA) 學會将参加比赛作品分五類：商業、人像、藝術、結婚、数碼攝影。獲奖作品屬数碼攝影類，有說是天馬行空類。眾所周知数碼攝影經修改可變幻莫測，(PPA)学會接受攝影者的天才發揮，天馬行空的創作表現，而已為人們接受的、喜愛的幻彩現實，Go for the goal 就是攝影家在上述條件下的創造性傑作。由於職業攝影學會高標準要求，獲選作品，其創作、藝術成就出類拔萃、反映時代精神、潮流，而為人們津津樂道。為此獲該會奖狀已成為一些藝術家夢寐以求的目的，他们在参賽中得到了教益，不斷進步。数十年來獲奖於該學會者以西方人為多，而華人甚少。今 Go for the goal 為華裔攝影師 Paul Tsang所攝、制。(之前該作品於2008年獲湾区攝影學會授 Print of year 奖，當年参赛作品有200多張。)

順便一提的是，該作品在網上流傳之際，創於1923年全美著名以赛馬、馬球、競技運動為主的一所综合性機構 Menlo Circus Club- Atherton, CA 徵得作品主人的同意，願無償将該作品永久性張掛在Menlo Circus Club- Atherton 會廳，以示學會一貫對馬球競技的重視和顯示學會近百年成就的光彩與驕傲的縮影，供諸眾好分享。我們可以從中看到該作品的藝術價值和它的影響力，這是我們華人值得慶賀的。

电子数碼攝影，由於經 photo shop 修改而变化万千，有 ’無中生有’之嫌。 她開始問世以來就成為攝影界争論的焦点：

她，作品能否入藝術之林的范畴？是否弄虛作假之作？是偽術家不是藝術家！這些都不是本文討論的范圍。我只試談她能入選的藝術性、作者運用科技成果以精湛技巧和對事物運动規律的入微觀察，去蕪存精，更集中、更形象地反映了事物的本來面貌，因而作品就更具有感染力。图片展示了馬球赛激烈爭奪戰中八位競赛者各自的動作。 焦点以光、色彩的濃郁、強弱來吸引觀衆，使他們全神貫注3号競技者高舉球棒揮動的一剎那，而其它競技者都圍绕着這球的滾動、以打入對方球門而聚精會神争相拼比。這是一幅客觀的、如实的，如假包換的馬球競技塲面。相信要一次性或多次拍成這照片難道之大不言而喻。攝影師以其獨特的思考，去完成這如假包換的现实場面。他先以一競技者在比賽場上逐球、揮棒和两隊競技的全過程攝取在檔，然後抽剝繭，取其精辟之處組合了這张拼图。如何组合、構圖、揉合色彩的運用是攝影師又一功底的表現。我們看人们的揮捧動作、馬匹奔馳距球遠近表現、競技者姿態、馬術等無不維肖維妙；再细看3号馬在主人勒馬蹬環揮棒，馬匹在運動中突然收步的後股肌肉如此的豐厚、有力，对比競赛場左邊第一位白衣騎士馬的前脚肌肉和馬股就不一樣，表現了動態中的真實。如此细緻、精确，不能不使我們得以欣賞馬球競技之餘并感其緊凑、緊张氣氛的感染；還有感於攝影師以自己的智慧、運用科技的技巧、娴熟的組合手法以高速快門将此情此景如實留下，毫没有因其数碼而減少其藝術佳作的真實性。今天照片已登於美國大雅之堂，讓攝影愛好者分享，誠華裔和攝影爱好者的好樣。

我所認識的作者在全美各項攝影比赛中獲奖無數。他常参加各項攝影比賽，他說比賽有勝、負，是規律。目的是觀摩、切磋，學習別人的長處，以求進步。忌沾沾自喜、陳糧新食、固步自封。我說：你的意思在比赛中有勝負是否如电影中的李小龍在被對方擊倒中學習？他笑語：李小龍以被击倒中学習，有皮肉之苦，甚至可能殘廢，精神實在可嘉。而我们只需要勤攝、勤参賽，勤切磋，不恥下問，積累經驗，就有收益就有進步。
